<body><div id="article"><tr><td height="28" valign="middle" width="184"></td><td valign="middle" width="185"></td></tr><h1>Eurasian Mega-Oil Pipeline Discussed</h1><p>Apr 17 (EIRNS)--Itar-Tass reports Apr 17, "A Russian oil mega-project for the construction of a pipeline from Eastern Siberia to the Pacific Ocean will become one of the key subjects of the 6th International Pipeline Forum," with over 300 companies from more than 30 countries taking part today.</p><p>Other major international projects on the agenda: the Burgas-Aleksandroupolis pipeline, the North European gas pipeline and cooperation with China; diversification of oil and gas exports, including the construction of the second stage of the Baltic Pipeline System. "The forum will discuss the legal framework for the operation of pipeline transport, the reliability of long-distance pipelines and the development of design technologies." In attendance will be Russian Minister of Industry and Energy Viktor Khristenko, Minister of Regional Development Vladimir Yakovlev, representatives of Gazprom and oil companies, including Transnefts President Semyon Vainshtok and the chief of Transnefteprodukt Sergei Maslov.</p></div></body>
