Tenet Flunked The Cheney Test--But So Do Most Dems

MAY 4, (LPAC)--Lyndon LaRouche today acknowledged that, while former CIA Director George Tenet's attacks on Vice President Dick Cheney are useful in the current strategic context, his failure to stand up to Cheney's perversion of the intelligence process is a tremendous scar on his record, and former intelligence professionals who are critical of Tenet have a legitimate beef. "Clearly, as CIA Director, George Tenet failed the 'Cheney Test,' by refusing to stand up to the Vice President when he came in with bogus intelligence that contradicted the combined findings and analysis of the professional intelligence community." LaRouche added, "Of course, among the present crop of Democratic Party presidential candidates, all of them with the sole exception of Dennis Kucinich, have so far failed the same test."
