Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Artur Davis (D-AL), are circulating a "Dear Colleague" letter calling for a no confidence vote against Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. The letter reads in part: "It is our belief that Congress and the American people have lost confidence in Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, and the Congress should formally express no confidence in his continued tenure as the head of the Department of Justice.... Next week, we will introduce a resolution expressing no confidence in the performance of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, urging the President to request his resignation." On Thursday, Senators Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) announced their intention to call for a no confidence vote against Gonzales in the Senate. Soon Gonzales may have difficulty recalling what it was like being Attorney General.</p></div></body>
